Where NotebookLM is better

Zero setup and no cost: open a tab. Opyt needs a local install with Python and a client configuration.
Audio overviews, video overviews and mind maps. Opyt produces no artifacts at all, by design.
YouTube, Drive and PDF ingestion. Opyt has no video source of any kind, and its five source types are X, Substack, GitHub, blogs and papers.
It will go and find sources for a topic you name.

Where Opyt is better

It persists and accumulates from bookmarks and follows that took no filing at all.
