Opyt vs Recall

Recall organizes what you saved. Opyt goes and gets the rest of it.

Recall removes the filing work: save something, and it summarizes, self-organizes and lets you chat with the archive. It also handles YouTube, which Opyt does not.

But it still starts from a save. Recall automates organizing and reading. What Opyt automates is the step before that. Confirm one person and their entire archive lands across X, GitHub and their blog, along with everything they publish from then on.

YouTube and video. If your inputs are talks and interviews, Opyt ingests none of them.
Automatic summaries and a review loop, which Opyt deliberately does not produce.

Where Opyt is better

Selection. Each collected source traces to an act of endorsement — a bookmark, like, follow, or subscription — not a page that happened to be open.
Person-level expansion collects a confirmed person's available discovered sources beyond what you saved by hand.
The topics you follow search arXiv, GitHub, OpenAlex, X, and Substack every day without another prompt from you.
A local install keeps your archive on disk, until you choose to share it.
